At Secure guard we offer 3 different types on Intruder Alarms

Wired Intruder Alarms: 

A wired intruder alarm would consist of different devices like door contacts, shock sensors and Pir's (Passive infrared Detector). All of these devices would have an individual cable run to them from the central    control unit, to provide power and to communicate with the alarm        system.

Wireless Intruder Alarms:

Wireless intruder alarm systems again can consist of door contacts, shock sensors and Pir's (Passive infrared Detector)  However these devices don't require a cable running from the control unit to the device. The main control unit will act as a receiver and the radio device (Door Contact) will act as a transmitter, as the radio devices are wireless so they do require batteries to be able to operate. 

Hybrid Intruder Alarms:

A hybrid intruder alarm is a mix between both a wired and wireless system. These types of systems are ideal when you want an intrusion device in a location where you are unable to get a cable, but the rest of your intrusion devices are wired.
